We are always preparing for the next liturgy by ensuring that the purificators, towels, altar cloths and altar server gowns are clean and ready for use

Caretakers are expected to perform daily maintenance tasks such as janitorial duties and yard care. Security is part of the job, making sure the building is empty before locking up.  They are also expected to repair anything that becomes damaged or worn out, including plumbing, electrical and carpentry.  A Caretaker is in charge of scheduling and supervising subcontractors for larger jobs.

The mission of the Parish Pastoral Team is to support, provide vision and direction to the pastor. The Parish Pastoral team is made up of representatives from our parish.  It serves to build the parish as a living Christian community by identifying needs and gifts and bringing them together in ministry.

Teams of two are needed weekly, during the summer to cut and trim the grass.  Please sign in if you are able to volunteer once during the week, Monday to Thursday for a couple of hours at a time of your choosing.  Weekends are busy with masses and weddings and are not a good time to work.

This group consists of parishioners getting together to create fellowship and community events. The ladies have done everything from handing out Easter eggs, preparing the new Shrine kitchen, to polishing windows. To find out more or join, email Marie at embehm@telus.net.

The essence of Pastoral Care is bringing Jesus Christ, fully alive and present in the Eucharist to nourish the souls of those members of the Body of Christ who because of illness or disability are unable to join with the rest of the Our Lady of the Rockies Parish community at our weekly celebrations of the Eucharist.  You can’t get any closer to Jesus while alive on this earth than by receiving Him in the Eucharist.
