Todd Korol
Todd Korol has been a lifelong photographer documenting events in Canada and around the world. In 2013 he was sent to Vatican City on assignment to document the historic election for a new pope.
On February 11, 2013, Benedict XVI announced his resignation from the papacy he was the first pope to resign in 600 years, since Gregory XII in 1415, and the first to do so on his own initiative since Celestine V in 1294.
For two weeks he documented life in St. Peter’s Square as thousands of worshippers arrived in the square to witness this historic moment.
After the 115 participating cardinal-electors gathered, they set March 12, 2013 as the beginning of the conclave. On the fifth ballot, the conclave elected Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio, SJ, Archbishop of Buenos Aires. He took the pontifical name of Francis.
Todd Korol has been on assignment for the leading newspapers and magazines of the world. He has published three books, and his fine art work is represented by the Paul Kuhn Gallery in Calgary.

Let us pray for young people who are preparing for marriage with the support of a Christian community: may they grow in love, with generosity, faithfulness and patience.
JULY Universal Intention: – Social Friendship
We pray that, in social, economic and political situations of conflict, we may be courageous and passionate architects of dialogue and friendship.
AUGUST Intention for Evangelization: – The Church
Let us pray for the Church, that She may receive from the Holy Spirit the grace and strength to reform herself in the light of the Gospel.
SEPTEMBER Universal Intention: – An Environmentally Sustainable Lifestyle
We pray that we all will make courageous choices for a simple and environmentally sustainable lifestyle, rejoicing in our young people who are resolutely committed to this.
OCTOBER Intention for Evangelization: – Missionary Disciples
We pray that every baptized person may be engaged in evangelization, available to the mission, by being witnesses of a life that has the flavour of the Gospel.
NOVEMBER Universal Intention: – People Who Suffer From Depression
We pray that people who suffer from depression or burn-out will find support and a light that opens them up to life.
DECEMBER Intention for Evangelization: – Catechists
Let us pray for the catechists, summoned to announce the Word of God: may they be its witnesses, with courage and creativity and in the power of the Holy Spirit.
