We are entrusted with God’s gifts and called to be faithful stewards. Stewardship is our grateful response to God for all that He has given us: it is intentional, planned, proportionate, and sacrificial. Being responsible stewards means using our gifts to strengthen our families, church, our parish community, and the wider world.
In practicing stewardship, we are encouraged to thoughtfully and prayerfully consider how we might use our limited resources amidst our many obligations. Through the giving of our resources we bear witness to our children and to the world of the values and priorities that guide our lives. General Operations
Sunday Offerings are vital to the financial health of our parish. These contributions support our ministries, children and youth programs, retreats and pilgrimages, facility maintenance, sacristy and parish supplies, staff salaries, and everyday needs such as keeping the lights on and the building warm.
Contributions to our General Operations allow our parish to plan ahead and serve our community more effectively. Whether you choose to give regularly or make a one-time contribution, your generosity helps sustain the Shrine for future generations.
Together in Action (TIA)
Together in Action (TIA) is an annual campaign of the Diocese of Calgary to support key ministries, partner organizations, and agencies. Every gift to TIA helps bring faith into action by supporting evangelization, advancing social justice, and providing compassionate care to those most in need. Together, we make a lasting difference in the lives of people from all backgrounds and circumstances.
Our Lady of the Rockies Shrine TIA 2026 goal: $16,771 – Any surplus will be directed to the Multiply the Hope Campaign/Building Fund.
Ways to Give
There are many ways to support our Shrine Church dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Shrine gratefully accepts gifts from individuals, corporations, service clubs and other organizations.
- Cheque or Cash in weekly Offertory Envelopes: If you would like to receive Parish Envelopes, please call or email the Shrine’s Office Tel: +1-403-678-5022 Email: reception@rockiesshrine.org. Your envelopes will be mailed to you quarterly. Please ensure that your contact information is correct and notify the Office of any changes.
- Online Donations: For one time or recurring donations, complete the online form at the top of this page.
- TipTap: Located in the Shrine Narthex, the TipTap terminals accept credit or debit cards. Submit your information to request your tax receipt: https://app.tiptappay.ca/forms/request-for-tax-receipt/1426
- E-Transfers: They can be made to: OLR.donations@gmail.com. Please include full name, full address and postal code in the comments to receive a tax receipt. Include a note about allocation (i.e. Multiply the Hope/Building Fund, General Operations, TIA, Mass Intentions, Wedding or Funeral).
- Pre-Authorized Donation (PAD Debit or Credit Card): Fill out the PAD Agreement with your Debit (void cheque) or Credit Card information. Please do not email the form for security reasons. Drop the PAD Agreement and void cheque at the Office.

Tax Receipts
According to CRA guidelines, valid tax receipts should have the full names of the donors and the respective addresses which are usually included in your parishoner registration. If you are not registered, please provide us with your full and postal address (includes postal code) in order that a valid tax receipt can be issued in your name. For etransfer donations, please include a note about allocation (ie. Mass intention, wedding or funeral, TIA or general donation).
Under the U.S.–Canada Tax Treaty (Article XXI), U.S. donors may deduct contributions to Canadian registered charities—provided a current official receipt is issued and they itemize deductions. Simply mark your gift as a U.S. donation, keep your receipt, and claim it on Schedule A of your IRS return.
